Hey Friends! My family and I just took another trip to Silverwood Theme Park. This time around the girls and I were on a mission to find and capture picture-perfect spots for a great Instagram shot! Next time you visit Silverwood, don’t forget to stop by at least a few of these areas to up your Instagram game! As we all know… Instagram aesthetics are not to be taken lightly and Silverwood is definitely the place to get started on perfecting your feed this summer!
Let’s be real though, with gorgeous landscaping and such a fun atmosphere the whole theme park is full areas to fill your Instagram feed with! The girls and I had an absolute blast finding our top 10 must-see spots!
Flower Wall
The flower wall is right after the ticket gate and the flowers absolutely stunning! This should be your first stop for a family photo before your day of fun begins at the park.
The Carousel
If you have a horse-loving toddler like us, you probably ride the carousel a dozen times (at this point it is a tradition in our family). Make sure to capture the smiles and excitement as you pick the perfect horse and ride around and around! Photo Credit: Browntown Girls
Garfield & Friends
When you’re enjoying Garfield’s Summer Camp with your littles, always keep an eye out for our favorite lasagna-loving cat Garfield! My kiddos go crazy when they see him! In fact, we always stop by the Toy Store for that perfect photo-op with Garfield!
Cabana Cooler
Floating around Elkhorn Creek in Boulder Beach is a must on a hot summer day in North Idaho! Did I mention they have a float up bar?? This is the perfect spot to grab an ice-cold drink and relax! Not to mention it makes for a super cute picture!
Roller Coaster Alley Sign
Strike a scary faced pose with your ride buddy before braving the coasters in roller coaster alley! This is a classic photo-op spot that we are always sure to get pictures at.
Food Shots
Okay, I know this may not be a specific place, but it’s a proven fact that everyone looks so cute when striking a pose while eating a gigantic ice cream cone or a heavenly delicious funnel cake. Our family loves the food and tasty treats at Silverwood!
Ride Shots
Grab your go pro for this one or your phone if you’re brave enough. The best rides to get a picture on are the Riptide Racer, Ferris Wheel, Flying Elephants and Thunder Canyon. I wouldn’t suggest trying to get a picture on the high-intensity rides because that is just an easy way to lose your cell phone! Also, on rides like Thunder Canyon where you might get soaked, a waterproof cell phone case is an easy way to keep your phone dry but still get the perfect picture!
Boulder Beach Entry
This is the perfect setting for a group/family picture. Grab everyone and snap a shot before heading in for an afternoon of splashing around in the water!
Magic Show
Our family LOVES the magic show. We always show up early because the theater fills up fast! However, you’ll want to stick around for the whole show until the end because you will get to take a photo with the award-winning magician himself Nick Norton.
Splashing Around
Capture those huge smiles as your kiddos splash around in the wave pool, toddler springs or at polliwog park. The memories our family has made at Boulder Beach are memories we will cherish for years to come!

I cannot wait to come to Silverwood as an adult with my two kiddos! I went when I was younger but my memory is very vague. My five year old is going to love it.

Thanks for these great photo ideas! We are going for the first time in a few weeks. What do you suggest you do with backpacks etc. with all the water rides? Is there a rental locker nearby if you don’t want to take something on the ride? How do you pay at the swim up bar if you’re in the pool?! Thank you!!
We do have lockers around the park that you can rent for the day. We would suggest the lockers in Boulder Beach if you are going to spend most of your day in the water park. The other locations are by the Carousel and in Country Carnival. As far as payment in the Lazy River goes, we recommend using card or getting a waterproof pouch that can hold cash. Hope you have a great time!!
