The Ultimate Guide to Silverwood Souvenirs

I don’t know if it’s because my mom never left the grocery store without getting me a little treat or that we road-tripped so frequently growing up, but I find it almost impossible to visit anywhere and not get a souvenir! Luckily for me, Silverwood is full of souvenir shops, and luckily for my husband, I have passed down my love for souvenirs to our kids.

Although my husband doesn’t love shopping, there is one souvenir he absolutely loves: the souvenir cups. Every first visit of the year, the refillable cups are an immediate purchase. On the day of purchasing, you get unlimited free refills, and when you bring them back on your next visit, it’s only 99 cents! That’s a souvenir he cannot pass up! Thankfully, Silverwood has a station set up right when you enter, so you can buy them before you even fully enter the park.

My kids, who are 6 & 4, are both stuffed animal obsessed, and when we saw a triceratops wearing a Silverwood vest, we knew there was no way my dino-loving four-year-old was going home without one. My daughter, on the other hand, found herself a snake almost twice her size to bring home. If you’re anything like me and gave your kids unique names that will never be found on a keychain, Silverwood has you covered! Both of my kids wanted these light-up keychains, and thank goodness, they had some with just initials on them.  We found all of these right next to the critter camp in The Toy Store.

My six-year-old has recently started a “collection,” which I learned is just a bunch of random stuff she has deemed special. I told her about the little bags of rocks you can fill at Melvins Mine, the gift shop right by the tiny toot coaster, and she was pumped! This one is especially fun because they get to sort through the rocks and find which ones are the best for the collection they have started at home.

If you’re trying to limit the number of souvenirs your kids bring home, a good rule of thumb is to have them look at every shop before deciding on a favorite. When my kids inevitably find something they love in every store, I take a picture of them holding it. That way, after visiting all the shops, they can decide which one they want.

I’m the type of person who believes there’s no such thing as too many sweatshirts or t-shirts. Every souvenir shop has a variety of sweatshirts and t-shirts to choose from. This is where I have to listen to the rules I set for my kids and look at every shop before I pick one. The Coffee Roasting & Trading Co. at the main entrance has a t-shirt/hat combo that you cannot go wrong with. They also have some handy souvenirs, such as water fans, to keep you cool on those extra hot days. One thing my husband was stoked to see was the wall of huckleberry flavored treats, which, if you’re from the PNW, you know how much we love huckleberry everything!

I’ve been going to Silverwood for more than twenty years, and I still find myself surprised by some of the things I find. During my most recent trip, I found that the candy shop has a section of Harry Potter-themed souvenirs and candy. We found mugs of butter beer candy, a chocolate golden snitch, and a chocolate wand.

Anywhere you choose to do your shopping you will find something everyone in your group will love. Whether it’s a stuffed animal, a sweatshirt, or even some fun knick knacks Silverwood has you covered! If you love to shop but don’t want to miss out on rides all day, the shops on main street stay open 30 minutes after the park closes so be sure to check those shops out on your way out!
