One of the best things about having a season pass to Silverwood Theme Park is the freedom it gives you. Instead of feeling like you have to cram everything into one visit, you can take your time, explore different areas, and go at your own pace. Silverwood becomes less of a “trip” and more of an experience you can enjoy all season long.
Over the year, my family and I have learned a few things about how to make the most of our season passes. We’ve spent entire days at the park and still only scratched the surface of attractions during one visit. If you’re new to Silverwood or just looking to make your visits more enjoyable and less exhausting, here are some tips we’ve picked up along the way.

Don’t Feel Pressured to Go Constantly:
Just because you have a season pass doesn’t mean you need to be there every weekend. Allow yourself to skip a week or two. The park will still be there. In fact, one of the most freeing things we discovered was that you don’t have to “get your money’s worth” in one visit. There’s no need to power through bad moods, exhaustion, or heat just because you paid for access. Sometimes the best thing you can do is call it a day early and try again another time. That’s the real perk of a season pass: the flexibility to enjoy the park on your terms.

Plan Strategically for a Better Experience
To avoid long lines and big crowds, we recommend visiting:
We found that shorter, more intentional visits, just 2–3 hours, can be more fun and less stressful than staying all day.

Take Advantage of Perks:
Both season pass options include a 10% discount on food, drinks (excluding alcohol) and merchandise. And free parking every visit! However, the Gold Pass allows you to bring-a-friend (2) every visit. For even more savings, consider purchasing the refillable drink cups and popcorn bucket . Another great budget-friendly tip: Silverwood allows guests to bring their own food in a 12×12 soft-sided cooler, which can significantly cut down on meal costs.

Bring a Rotation of Friends or Family:
One of the best perks of a Gold Pass is the ability to bring (2) guests. Invite different friends or family members to join you, giving them a personalized tour and sharing your favorite spots can make the visit extra special for both of you. It brings a new sense of excitement and creates fresh memories each time.
Keep a “Comfort Kit” Ready to Go:
Having a small go-bag ready by the door or in the car makes spontaneous trips easier. A small backpack with water bottles, sunscreen, and light necessities goes a long way. Leave swimsuits and towels in the car if you’re not hitting Boulder Beach that day.

Switch It Up:
Silverwood has so much to offer, don’t get stuck doing the same things each visit.

Remember There’s More to Silverwood Than Just the Thrills
It’s easy to spend hours chasing adrenaline in Roller Coaster Alley but there’s so much more to Silverwood than just big rides. Whether you have little ones in tow or are visiting with someone who prefers a slower pace, the park has plenty of options for every age and thrill level.

Kid-Friendly Zones
The water park’s kiddie areas (Salmon Run & Toddler Springs) and Silverwood’s Critter Camp can keep young kids entertained for hours while you kick back to relax. Sometimes we’ll spend most of the day in just those sections and still feel like we’ve had a full adventure.

Train Rides with a Twist
The Silverwood train isn’t just a scenic ride (although the views of North Idaho are pretty spectacular). Depending on when you go, you might also witness some live entertainment or spot some of the park’s resident bison! With multiple departure times and themes throughout the day, it’s a great mid-day break from the crowds.
Magic Shows & Parrot FX
From award-winning magic shows to live-birds teaching you tricks, there are multiple entertainment options happening throughout the day. These are especially great when you’re ready to rest your feet without cutting the day short.
Conclusion
Finally, give yourself permission to slow down.
Owning a season pass doesn’t mean you have to be in “go-go-go” mode all the time. In fact, the real magic of the pass lies in how it allows you to slow down and be present.
Whether it’s a two-hour visit after dinner or a full-day adventure, there’s no wrong way to enjoy Silverwood. You’re not falling short by skipping a day. You’re building a collection of experiences over time, not trying to squeeze them all into one memory.
Sometimes, the best moments happen when we’re not chasing them, just sitting on a bench with an ice cream cone, watching the kids laugh, and thinking: we can come back again soon.
And that’s exactly the point.
