“Hiiiiiii Silverwood!”
That’s my toddler yelling and waving dramatically every time we drive past Silverwood Theme Park on Highway 95, even if we’re not going that day. He LOVES it.

How I Became a Silverwood Ambassador Mom
I’ll be honest: I didn’t know about the Silverwood Conductor Program until @wandercoeurdalene shared it. At the time, I thought: “There’s no way they’d pick me. I only had 400 followers and I’m definitely not an influencer like the other ambassadors I saw.” But I figured, why not try? I applied… and I was accepted! So, if you’re thinking about applying, DO IT!

The Application Process
It’s super simple:
● Fill out an application with a few questions about yourself and your vision.
● Showcase your personality, that’s what makes you stand out.
If you’re accepted, you’ll get an email with next steps. Then comes the best part: orientation at the park before it opens for the season. You’ll meet the amazing Silverwood marketing team and other Conductors and enjoy a sneak peek day at the park.

Perks of Being a Silverwood Conductor
The benefits are incredible for any family:
● Season passes for your immediate family
● Tickets to give away to your followers
● A gift card to use for content-related expenses
● Opportunities to grow your social media
● A chance to share insider tips to help other families
● A boost in creativity and storytelling
● Most importantly, a summer full of family memories at Silverwood and Boulder Beach

Watching My Toddler Grow as a Silverwood Kid
This was my 3-year-old’s first year at Silverwood and my first year as a parent visiting the park.
One of my favorite memories was in Critter Country. Our first day at the park, Orientation Day actually during the parks soft-opening. I realized quickly that I couldn’t ride most of the little-kid rides with him, so he’d have to be brave on his own.
We walked back and forth between the Red Baron airplanes and the Kiddie Copters helicopters about four times before he finally worked up the courage to try the airplanes. I helped him buckle in and waved every single time he went around.
After that first ride? He was hooked. He rode it five more times in a row.
That was just the beginning. Over the summer, he conquered the Frog Hopper, Butterflyer, Krazy Koaster, and more. Watching him become more confident, patient in line, and joyful with each visit was priceless. When we visited with family and friends throughout the season, his confidence turned into guiding his peers into what to do. It was the best!

Flexibility That Fits Family Life
Being an ambassador meant we could visit as often as we wanted, even just for short trips.
Every two weeks or so, we’d head over from about 11–1 to ride his favorites. When Boulder Beach opened, we’d go after nap time and eat dinner at the park (always a turkey leg, my toddler’s top pick!).
Not feeling pressure to “make the most of a single day pass” made our visits feel spontaneous and relaxed.

A Sweet Season Finale
To close out the season, my husband took our son for a surprise daddy-son day during the park’s final two hours of the season, thanks to our family season passes.
They made memories they’ll never forget:
●Arcade games
● All the sugary food mom usually says no to (cotton candy and Dippin’ Dots for the first time)
● Dreaming about riding the bumper cars “when he’s tall enough” (he watched them for 30 minutes)
● Riding the train roller coaster since he usually can’t do this when mom takes him with his little sister
That afternoon was the perfect way to end our year as a Silverwood family.

Final Thoughts: Why I Loved Being a Silverwood Conductor
Being a Silverwood Conductor was one of the highlights of our summer.
I gained confidence navigating the park, made new friendships with other ambassadors, and became the go-to friend for tips about Silverwood and Boulder Beach.
Most of all, it gave me the chance to create lasting memories with my family, the kind of summer I always dreamed of giving my kids.
If you’re thinking of applying to be an ambassador, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s not just a partnership; it’s an experience your whole family will cherish.

I’m Bri, a “stay-at-home mom,” though I’m hardly ever at home! My routine involves getting out of the house every morning by 10 a.m. with my kids to go play in our community. Honestly, I’d go crazy if I stayed home all day. There are too many opportunities in our area to miss out on and too many life experiences to have outside the house!
A little background: I’m a former teacher and school administrator who started staying home in 2022 after our first son was born. In those roles, I was often called the “energy bunny” because I loved making learning fun for my students and bringing joy to my staff as a vice principal. Despite juggling many tasks, I always had plenty of energy and wanted to make the most of each day. Becoming a mom was a game-changer in the best way. Teaching and administration had been my life, but I knew I wanted to stay home with my kids, and I’m so grateful I can! My hobbies—gardening, skiing, wakeboarding, camping, sewing, and anything outdoors—had to shift as I learned how to incorporate a baby into my activities.
I quickly immersed myself in the “mom” community and found myself naturally stepping into an organizing role. In the summer of 2024, Playtopia was born when I started hosting playdates and larger public events, like park building activities, art sessions, and STEAM nights. What began as small get-togethers with friends, grew into a place for families to connect with one another and build community.
