The Most Overlooked Food Spot at Silverwood: Taste-Testing the Brand New Menu at High Moon Saloon

I didn’t expect the best thing I ate at Silverwood to be a corn dog… but here we are!

And yes… it’s as big as it looks.

When you go to Silverwood, food isn’t really the first thing on your mind. You’re thinking rides, the water park, and how to make it through the day without completely melting by mid-afternoon. You grab something quick, keep moving, and usually end up hungry again not long after.

That’s exactly how our day started.

We were hot, tired, and honestly just needed something that wasn’t another quick snack. We weren’t even planning to stop at High Moon Saloon, we kind of just ended up there.

Now? It’s one of those stops I’d actually plan for.

It’s a little tucked away, easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. But once you hit that point in the day where everything starts catching up to you, this is exactly where you end up when you need a real break.

The Corn Dog

This corn dog just stole the show.

Somehow this is the first real corn dog here… and they didn’t hold back.

It’s massive. Like, not a cute bite situation, you’re committing to this thing.

It’s dipped in a hot honey glaze, rolled in crushed Cheetos, and topped with sriracha ranch, so you get sweet, salty, a little spicy, and that crunch all at once.

The first bite has that crisp outer layer, then it gives way to a soft center, and the dog inside is actually juicy. You can tell right away the batter isn’t basic, it tastes homemade, not heavy, and just really good.

I didn’t expect it to be that good, honestly.

It’s messy, dripping, and not something you want to eat while walking around, but that’s part of it.

This is one of those foods you see someone else carrying… and immediately want.

And the biggest thing?

It actually fills you up.

Not theme park “I’ll need something else in an hour” filling.

More like… this could easily be your one real meal if you wanted it to be.

If you’re trying to get one solid meal in and keep moving, this actually holds you over.

The Hot Dog (different vibe, still worth it)

We also tried the Saloon Smothered Dog, and this one is loaded in the best way.

Beer cheese, caramelized onions, and that bacon jam, which is new this year and honestly so good. It brings everything together with that sweet, smoky flavor and makes it feel more like a full meal than typical park food.

It’s messy, dripping everywhere, but in a “just lean in and don’t even care” kind of way.

This one’s more of a sit-down, full meal situation. Not really shareable, but definitely filling.

If you’re there one day and want something fun and over-the-top, go corn dog.

If you come back and want something a little heavier and more savory, this is the move.

Both are great choices it just depends what you’re in the mood for.

The Pretzel

We grabbed the pretzel sticks with cheese on the side, and they’re exactly what you want here.

Warm, salty, easy to share, simple, and it just works.

The Vibe

One of the best parts about High Moon Saloon is that it actually feels like a break.

Inside, it’s cooler, a little darker, and more relaxed compared to everything going on outside. You’ve got plenty of tables, space to sit, and you can actually take a minute instead of rushing back out.

After being out in the sun, walking all day, and trying to keep up with everything, that reset matters more than you think.

At some point, everyone hits that wall.

This is where you go when you do.

Quick Tips

  • Make this your main food stop, not something you grab in between rides
  • Share the corn dog if you’re trying multiple spots
  • Try to go a little before peak times if you can
  • Plan this for when you actually need a break

Final Thought

Silverwood finally has a corn dog… and it ended up being one of the best things we had all day.

It’s new, it stands out, and it’s one of those things people are going to catch onto fast.

Between the size, the flavor, and the fact that it actually fills you up, this is one of those stops that just makes your day easier.

And once you see someone walking by with one…

you’re probably turning around to go get one.
