Boulder Beach at Silverwood Theme Park offers the best of both worlds for adults: a place to kick back and relax with a drink in hand, and thrilling water slides that’ll wake you up faster than your morning coffee. Whether you’re floating along the lazy river or tackling the adrenaline-pumping slides, Boulder Beach has something to make every adult feel like a kid again, without sacrificing the relaxation factor. Here’s our take on the adult-friendly vibes of Boulder Beach!
Be sure to check out our full vlog where we explore Boulder Beach in detail, from the rides to the food and drinks!
The Ultimate Chill Spot
One of the best ways to unwind at Boulder Beach is by floating along the lazy river, cold drink in hand. The swim-up bar offers a variety of refreshing alcoholic beverages, so you can kick back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while sipping a frozen drink. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the park without rushing from one ride to the next.
Top tip for couples (or just friends wanting to float together), you can hire tubes for $10 per day. Meaning you can guarantee all the floating time you want in the lazy river. Plus, use your ring on Rumble Falls to skip the tube collection portion of the queue and head straight to the stairs!
Delicious Food and Drinks to Satisfy Your Hunger
When it comes to food, Boulder Beach doesn’t disappoint. We indulged in the alcoholic slushes from Northern Flights, perfect for a hot day in the sun. The strawberry pina colada was a personal favorite, along with the blue Hawaiian. Pair that with some churro fries or nachos, and you’ve got yourself a solid meal to keep you going between the rides. For adults looking for something tasty and affordable, Boulder Beach has you covered!
The Best Drinks for Adults at Boulder Beach
Speaking of drinks, one of the highlights of Boulder Beach for us was the drink selection. We tried out a few of the frozen cocktails from Northern Flights and Cove Bar in the lazy river, which were a refreshing way to cool off. Pro tip: Get a wristband at any drink stand after showing your ID to avoid carrying it around – trust us, you don’t want to lose it in the lazy river like we did!
*Don’t worry, the incredible team found it and got it back to us on the same day!
Thrilling Slides for Adults
Boulder Beach offers some incredible water slides, and as adults, we were thrilled by the variety. Our absolute favorite was the Eagle Hunt slide – it’s a long, exciting ride filled with sharp drops and thrilling launches. It’s the perfect way to get your heart racing! We also enjoyed the Riptide Racer mat slide, which is always a fun way to challenge each other as you race down. These rides aren’t just for kids; adults can have a blast too!
A Relaxed Atmosphere with a Touch of Adventure
Boulder Beach strikes a great balance between family-friendly and adult-focused areas. The wave pool alternates between calm and high-energy waves, giving you the option to chill or get a bit more active. If you’re looking to truly unwind, there are also cabanas available for rent, though we didn’t use one, we can see how it’d be a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon with friends or family.
Tips for Adults Visiting Boulder Beach
If you’re planning to spend the day at Boulder Beach, we recommend arriving early, preferably before the park opens, to grab a good spot. You can store your belongings in a locker and be beach-ready in no time. For food, check out the smaller venues for fresher, made-to-order meals. And don’t forget to get your wristband for alcohol, it’s the easiest way to enjoy drinks without worrying about carrying your ID.
