Why We Keep Coming Back to Lindy’s at Silverwood
Let’s be honest for a second…
When you’re spending the day at Silverwood, it’s easy to grab whatever food is closest and head to the next ride.
We could do that.

But somehow, we always end up back at Lindy’s.
Not because it’s the only restaurant in the park, but because every year they seem to give us another reason to come back.

Before we even order, I always find myself looking around for a minute. Lindy’s has this old Victorian charm that makes it feel completely different from anywhere else in the park. Between the antique portraits, floral wallpaper, cozy dining rooms, and the covered patio outside, it feels less like grabbing lunch at an amusement park and more like sitting down at a historic little restaurant.

If the weather’s nice, we’re almost always outside. The patio is shaded, surrounded by flowers, and every so often the train rolls by while you’re eating. It’s one of those little Silverwood moments that reminds you to slow down for a bit before heading back out for more rides.
Now… let’s talk food.
Every time we eat here, I tell myself I’m finally going to order something different.
Every single time…
I end up ordering the Crispy Chicken Sandwich again.
I’ve had it four times already, which probably tells you everything you need to know.

It’s piled high with crispy chicken, avocado, jack cheese, garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, and their new bacon jam. Honestly, the bacon jam is what makes the whole sandwich. It’s sweet, smoky, savory, and somehow ties everything together.
It’s also the kind of meal that actually keeps you full. If you’re trying to get one solid meal in before spending the rest of the afternoon riding coasters or hanging out at Boulder Beach, this is the one I’d order.
Then there was something I wasn’t expecting…
Girl Dinner
The Caesar Salad with the Cheesy Garlic Potato Dippers.

The potato dippers are tossed with garlic and shaved Parmesan, and somehow they’re even better dipped in the Caesar dressing.
That has officially become my girl dinner.
Simple, filling, and one of those meals I’ll happily order again and again. Trust me on this combination.
Then I found out something I wish I’d known sooner.

Lindy’s has a full gluten-friendly menu.
Not just one or two substitutions.
An actual menu with multiple choices.
Even better, they also have a Beyond Burger if you’re looking for a vegetarian option. It’s not listed on the regular menu, so if you didn’t know to ask, you’d probably never realize it was there.

That’s the kind of thing I wish more people knew because it’s easy to miss.
Speaking of surprises…

The Gingham Salad ended up being much more filling than I expected. It’s loaded with grilled chicken, berries, mandarin oranges, toasted almonds, and gorgonzola cheese, so it actually feels like a complete meal instead of just ordering a salad because you think you should.
If you’re spending the afternoon at Boulder Beach, here’s another tip.
Everything at Lindy’s can be ordered to go.
Honestly, I don’t think enough people know that.
Grab your lunch, head over to the water park, and you’re set.
Now let’s talk drinks.

If you’re an espresso martini person, don’t skip the new one. It was easily one of my favorite additions this year.
But here’s the part that completely caught me off guard…
You can take your drink on the train.

How have I been coming here this long and never known that?
It’s one of those little Silverwood details that makes the whole experience even more fun.
At the end of the day, that’s really why we keep coming back.
Yes, the food is good.
Yes, the portions are generous.
But it’s also the little things.
The Victorian charm.
The peaceful patio.
The train rolling by.
The hidden Beyond Burger.
The gluten-friendly menu.
The new bacon jam.
The espresso martini.

Every visit, we end up discovering something we didn’t know before.
And honestly…
I kind of hope that never changes.
