Why Convincing Your Family or Friends to Get a Season Pass is Worth it

Family group chat:

Me: Anyone up for Silverwood for a few hours before naps on Monday?

Mom: We can be there!

Sister: Meet at the lazy river?

Brother: We’ll be there by 11!

Mom friends group chat:

Me: How about Silverwood on Tuesday for a few hours?

Friend: Yes! The kids have been asking.

Friend: Mom day at Silverwood? Can everyone get a sitter?

Friend: A couple of us have Gold Passes, so we can get you in!

Imagine that being your summer.

Your kiddos racing down the water slides at Salmon Run in Boulder Beach, floating the lazy river, riding their favorite attractions at Silverwood Theme Park, and you sipping an adult slushie while catching up with your girlfriends.

This could be your summer. Honestly, it should be.

This year we convinced, though it hardly took any convincing, my parents and both of my siblings to get Silverwood season passes. On top of that, several of our friends grabbed Gold Passes too.

It completely changed our summer.

Instead of asking, “What should we do today?” the answer is almost always, “Let’s go to Silverwood!”

The best part? Countless memories with the people we love. Think racing down water slides with your cousins, riding the bumper boats with your uncles or the Krazy coaster with your best friend.

One of my favorite things about having a Silverwood season pass is that we go often enough to find our rhythm. We know who brings what, what to pack, where to meet, and which rides, slides, and pools everyone wants to hit first. It becomes easy, familiar, and something we all look forward to every week.

Are Silverwood season passes really worth it?

Absolutely.

I convinced both my brother and my sister, who are each married with two kids under three, to buy season passes. Neither of them has regretted it.

Why?

Because it’s so easy.

After work, they can stop by for a couple of hours, ride a few rides, cool off at Boulder Beach, and be home before bedtime.

For those of us who stay home with little ones, it’s even better. We head there for a few hours in the morning before nap time, eat a picnic lunch at the park, and the kids fall asleep on the drive home.

Umm… perfect.

The grandparents are the real heroes.

Getting the grandparents season passes might have been our best decision yet.

Sometimes they have more energy than we do. They’ll take the kids down the slides while I enjoy a few peaceful minutes in a lounge chair. Or they’ll snuggle the newborn while we take the toddlers on rides.

The kids make incredible memories with Grandma and Grandpa, and the parents get a little break.

Everybody wins.

Double date nights? Yes, please.

Grab a babysitter or call the grandparents and spend an evening at Silverwood Theme Park without the kids.

About time I finally ride the “big kid” rides my toddler points at every single visit.

Mom friends make it even better.

Some of my favorite Silverwood days are with my mom friends.

The ones in the same season of life.

The ones who completely understand the random toddler meltdowns, don’t judge when someone forgets the snacks, and are just as ready to head home after a few hours of fun.

These are your people.

The kids have built in best friends to explore the park with, encourage each other to try new rides and water slides, and the moms get to catch up while making summer memories together.

It’s the ultimate playdate.

Schedule one Silverwood day each week, and suddenly those “What should we do today?” moments disappear.

Instead, you’ve built a summer tradition your kids will remember for years.

Should you get the Gold Pass?

Well…

Let’s just say my friends with Gold Passes are the real MVPs.

When they’re not bringing their own kids as their Plus Two, they’re inviting the rest of us moms who haven’t quite discovered how much value a Silverwood season pass adds to summer.

Trust me.

Whether you’re coming from Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Spokane, Liberty Lake, or anywhere in the Inland Northwest, a Silverwood season pass isn’t just about unlimited visits.

It’s about spontaneous adventures, easy family outings, unforgettable memories, and making the most of summer with the people you love.

Once you experience that kind of summer, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get a season pass sooner.

About the Conductor

I’m Bri. I am a stay at home mom, though I would say I hardly stay home. It is a routine of ours to be out of the house every morning by 10 a.m. and out in the community connecting with others somewhere. Honestly, I would go insane if I stayed home. There are far too many opportunities in our area to miss out on and too many life experiences and learning moments to be had outside the home.
As a former teacher and school administrator turned stay at home mom, I am constantly looking for engaging, immersive, and social activities for my kids to support their development. As the “energy bunny,” as I am often referred to, I love making opportunities fun, taking advantage of each day, and creating playful experiences in all scenarios. I have developed a community of families in the area who seek connection and play for their children through something I created called Playtopia. I hosted 43 community events in 2025 and am currently navigating what Playtopia will look like going forward as we add another child to our family.
Playtopia has been such a gift because it has given me an avenue to fully embrace life with kids while showcasing our amazing region. I get to highlight all the things I love doing in my free time, including farmers markets, local events, camping, being on the lake, sewing, gardening, SILVERWOOD, and simply being outside. Through these experiences, I have the opportunity to help connect people and build community through play.
One random thing about me is that I have followed a gluten free diet since 2007, and my kids do as well. The teacher in me loves to educate others about gluten free living, and I co run the Gluten Free in North Idaho Facebook page with my mom, who is also gluten free. It serves as a resource for our region to help families navigate and share places that offer gluten free options.
