When I think of Silverwood, there’s a list of things I feel like you just HAVE to see or do, especially if you’re only there for a day. So I rounded up the family, and we hit the road to really dive in and see what we could agree on. There are too many fun options!

So you already know I had to load up the refillable souvenir cups because it’s probably the best investment if you’re a frequent flyer like us. I get a little thirsty while I write this, haha. These things are in no order, just what we thought were good.

Top 5 Must-Do Activities at Silverwood Amusement Park

1. Conquer the Coasters:

Silverwood is renowned for its exhilarating roller coasters that cater to adrenaline junkies. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been on these coasters, but one that stands out the most is Stunt Pilot. I will be 100% transparent with you; I will not go on it. I’m too chicken! Corkscrew, however, is my favorite one in the park! You’ll find an array of fun down Roller Coaster Alley for every level of thrill seeker in your family.

2. Dive into Boulder Beach:

When the sun is blazing, cool off at the Boulder Beach Water Park, a refreshing oasis within Silverwood. With wave pools, lazy rivers, and thrilling water slides, this water park promises a splashing good time for families and thrill-seekers! Plus, did you hear the new expansion coming? It’s going to be bigger and better next year. I cannot wait!

3. Explore Shops and Dining:

Silverwood isn’t just about rides; it’s a complete experience. Take a leisurely stroll through the various shops offering souvenirs, gifts, and mementos to remember your visit. When hunger strikes, you’ll be spoiled for choice with a variety of dining options that cater to different tastes and preferences. One place for sure stands out and is a staple to eat at once in the season! LINDYS! Walking in, you already don’t feel like you’re in an amusement park. I’m never disappointed with my choices of food here, plus they have alcoholic beverages to go! My new favorite is the Aftershock; like, look how cool that is! Plus, it’s a nice break from the heat if you choose to eat inside. Also, I feel like if you don’t know the Ice Cream shop, it’s hard not to want one on a hot summer day. It is a staple! The Single Scoop…. IS FIVE SCOOPS of greatness! We have tried almost all flavors, and it never gets old! (I’m a sucker for amusement park snacks, and this place never disappoints ) Shopping in Hucks General store, you have to get shirts and sweatshirts. All of the best things are found here. My kids love the knick-knacks in there. You have to see them.

4. Ride the Silverwood Train:

For a more relaxed adventure, hop on the Silverwood Train. This scenic ride takes you on a journey through the park’s beautiful landscapes, giving you a chance to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. It’s the perfect way to take a break from the excitement of the rides while still getting a glimmer of the Wild West. I’ll be honest: I didn’t expect to have so much fun on this, and kiddos go wild on the Choo Choo. Lennox does get a little startled by the sounds, but he is obsessed with being on the train and seeing all the animals on the ride.

5. Catch Live Entertainment:

From live shows to street performances, Silverwood offers a vibrant entertainment scene. Check the schedule to see what’s going on the day you’re there, but the main thing I hear the most about is the magic show! The show is amazing, and without saying too much, it’s hard to pass up!

In conclusion, Silverwood is a treasure trove of entertainment and adventure. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie seeking the thrill of roller coasters, a water enthusiast ready to make a splash, or someone who prefers a leisurely exploration of shops and entertainment, Silverwood has something for you. So, gear up for an unforgettable day of fun and excitement at one of Idaho’s most beloved destinations!

Last time I went was over 20 years ago, and I had a cast on my foot. I wasn’t allowed to ride the rides. Would love to have another opportunity to go and this time actually get to experience it!
