4 Silverwood Vacation Upgrades That Are Worth It With Kids

Family vacations are cherished moments that create lasting memories. When it comes to planning a trip to a theme park like Silverwood, the key is to maximize enjoyment while minimizing stress. One way to achieve this balance is by considering upgrades that cater to the needs and interests of your children. I will share the upgrades that we have found are worth investing in and that contribute to an unforgettable family experience.

1. Cabana Rental

A sanctuary amidst the excitement. Vacationing with kids often means needing to balance thrill-seeking with moments of relaxation. Cabana rentals provide families with a private oasis within the park where they can rest, eat, and rejuvenate. With comfortable seating, shade, a mini fridge, and dedicated service, cabanas offer parents a serene retreat amidst the excitement. Our handy trick is to place a food and drink order with our dedicated attendant, leave for a few water slides, and return to have delicious meals waiting for us to devour. Renting a cabana was our favorite perk to use when we visited Silverwood with a nursing infant. I was able to feed and give my baby a quiet place to nap, all the while watching my older kids play in the wave pool. You can rent one HERE

2. Tube Rental

On crowded days at Boulder Beach, I recommend renting water tubes. You will have the benefit of enjoying the lazy river and not having to wait for multiple tubes to become available. The same benefit applies to some of the water slides. A perk you may not know about, the tubes can be dropped off at the rental spot to be held for later. Allowing you to run off and tackle the splash pad or wave pool without worrying about your tubes being taken. Renting tubes at the water park will absolutely contribute to a more enjoyable, convenient, and stress-free day.

3. Stroller Rental

Renting a stroller is so beneficial! Eliminating the need to bring your own is ideal if you are traveling long distances or already have a cramped car. Also, all young children appreciate (demand) a place to rest their feet, nap, and take a break between the rides. It’s also an advantage for the parents by reducing fatigue from carrying children and belongings, allowing you to enjoy the park to the fullest. The Silverwood strollers have cup holders, storage for your belongings, and a cover on top to offer cool shade. You will find the stroller rental location right past the main entrance. 

4. Lockers

There are lockers located in multiple places within the theme park: one is near the entrance behind the carousel and others throughout the park, making it convenient to access them as needed. The lockers provide ample room to fit soft coolers, purses/backpacks, towels, purchased items, and any other valuables. There is unlimited access, and the rental period is for the entire day. Lockers allow our family to divide and conquer to please all the different desires of our kids and know we all have access to our things at any time.

Hello there! My name is Ashley. I married my prince charming 10 years ago and we have 4 kids that are 7, 5, 3 and 1 years old. We just recently moved from Bothell, WA to Dalton Gardens to fulfill our homesteading dreams. Every year we have made the 5 hour trip to visit Silverwood theme park but now we live 15 minutes away and plan to take full advantage.
